DENVER — Firefighters responded to a fire at a strip mall at E. 17th Avenue and Logan Street Wednesday morning.

Greg Pixley with the Denver Fire Department said the fire was in the attic space of a strip mall at 380 E. 17th Avenue. A call reporting the fire came in at 5:29 a.m.

“It took a lot of effort to locate the fire,” Pixley said.

Around 6:30 a.m., firefighters were continuing to work to put the fire out. Pixley said there is significant smoke damage.

Later in the day, investigators would come by to determine the cause of the blaze, Pixley said.

No injuries were reported.
