1. Pedal the Plains announcement
Governor John Hickenlooper will announce Tuesday this year’s cycle route. The three-day cycling event through the Eastern Plains of Colorado draws hundreds of participants who average around 50 to 70 miles per day.
2. Denver searches for new police chief
The Denver Police Department will begin the search for a new leader following Tuesday’s announcement that Police Chief Robert White plans to retire. The replacement will be either a current or retired Denver Police Department officer, according to the city.
3. VA nomination in peril
Details emerge over VA nominee Ronny Jackson's alleged misconduct, ranging from repeated drunkenness to a toxic work environment, as he served as a top White House doctor.
4. SCOTUS hears travel ban
Today, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on President Trump's so-called travel ban, the executive order banning travel from several majority-Muslim countries that Trump signed shortly after taking office. A decision isn't likely for several months.
5. Warmer Wednesday
Wednesday will be sunny, dry and warmer, with highs in the mid-to upper 60s in Denver and across the eastern plains. Highs in the mountains will be in the 50s with plenty of sunshine.
