Denver Mayor Michael Hancock to deliver State of the City address Monday

DENVER – Denver Mayor Michael Hancock will outline his priorities and goals for the city and provide an update on how existing projects are going during his annual State of the City address Monday morning.

The mayor is expected to focus on three big topics that affect the lives of Denver residents: Growth, transportation and housing.

Transportation and mobility in particular seem to be at the top of Hancock’s list of priorities and he will introduce plans to move more people more efficiently through the city.

He also will highlight plans to help individuals, families and neighborhoods deal with the ever-growing cost of housing in the city.

Following the mayor’s address, residents can enjoy a free cookout with food, games and more from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hiawatha Davis Jr. Recreation Center, 3334 Holly St.
