Man dies in rafting accident near Silverthorne
SILVERTHORNE, Colo. - A 70-year-old Denver man has been identified as the man who died in a rafting accident on the Blue river, north of Silverthorne.
The Summit County Coroner's Office said they were called at 1:45 p.m. Sunday. They identified the victim as Charles Emery, of Denver.
The coroner's office said Emery was ejected from his non-commercial raft on the Blue River. It happened about 3 miles north of the Blue River Campground.
Several other people on the same raft were rescued from both sides of the river.
