DENVER -- Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

1. Denver City Council won’t investigate mayor
Citing a lack of legal authority, the Denver City Council on Monday declined to open an investigation into sexual harassment allegations against Mayor Michael Hancock.

2. Grand Junction brush fire that prompted evacuations contained
Crews in Grand Junction are mopping up a large brush fire that prompted hundreds to evacuate and burned several structures. The full extent of the damage won’t be known until later today.

3. Colorado Senate votes against expelling member
Colorado's Republican-led Senate voted late Monday against expelling a GOP senator accused of groping a former legislative aide. Senators voted 17-17 to defeat the measure to expel Sen. Randy Baumgardner.

4. Street sweeping starts today in Denver
Denver Public Works sweeping trucks will be back out in force Tuesday cleaning up the city’s streets, which means if you park on the city’s streets, you’ll have to move your car or be fined. More info here.

5. High winds continue
There is a HIGH WIND WARNING in effect tonight and Tuesday morning for the mountains, foothills and eastern plains. By Tuesday afternoon, the winds threat lessen, except for the eastern counties near the Nebraska and Kansas border.
