High school students walk out in Trump protest

DENVER – Several high school students in the Denver-Boulder area voiced their displeasure with the election results by walking out of class in protest Wednesday.

Upset with a Trump win, students from Boulder High School walked out of classes and marched to Pearl Street. They displayed signs that read “honk 4 freedom” and “BHS is no place for hate.”

Some Boulder High School students told Denver7 that they felt the protests shouldn't have been held during school hours.

In Denver, Montbello High School students followed Boulder in protest. The Denver students marched from Martin Luther King Boulevard to the school and then returned to MLK.

Wednesday’s student protests were some of many across the country. Several hundred students at the University of California-Davis marched through campus and into downtown, but remained peaceful.
