BOULDER — If your tickets to a University of Colorado football game seems to have children’s doodles all over them, it’s not a scam. It’s a special touch.

This year’s season tickets to the University of Colorado’s football games will feature drawings by kids at Children’s Hospital Colorado, according to the university.

The children at the hospital were invited to submit their art and CU picked six winners.

"As we were going through design ideas for this year's football season tickets, we were looking for ways to creatively connect the Buffs football experience to our fans and community, and what better way is there than through the eyes of children,” said Matt Biggers, chief marketing officer with the Colorado Buffaloes. “What we got back from all of these children exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled that their contributions have made our ticket designs for this season so special."

Each football game will feature its own indivdual design. The artist behind each ticket will be highlighted at the game their artwork was used for, the school said in a press release.

The season tickets were mailed out to fans Wednesday.

"We are so appreciative of the opportunity for our patients to engage with CU Athletics in this way," said Christy Dobson, director of corporate and community relations at Children's Colorado. "The kids had a wonderful time creating their designs and the winners are so proud to have their art in front of thousands of CU fans."
