DENVER — Art is a big part of the atmosphere of RiNo, and for the 10th year, the downtown Denver neighborhood is hosting graffiti artists from all over the world to paint in the CRUSH WALLS street art festival.
A hundred artists are painting 88 murals this week. The event has been growing and 100,000 visitors are expected this year.
"It's driving economic development in the district," said RiNo Art District President Tracy Weil. "People come to see the murals and want to get their selfies in front of them."
CRUSH WALLS covers a 1-square-mile area and is popular amongst artists.
"This is my favorite of all the stuff I get to do," said Denver-based artist Esic. "I do a lot of festivals and random stuff, but this is by far my favorite."
