Powerball winners aren’t new to the Denver area.

There have been big winners during the last five years, including last year, when one woman won $2 million at the King Soopers in Glenwood Village.

A year before that, a man won $1 million at the Loaf N Jug convenience store across the street from that King Soopers.

Employees at that King Soopers say they’ve been busier than ever now that the Powerball continues to increase.

They think having a past winner has a lot to do with the large crowds.

But the winners aren’t limited to that area.

In January 2014, a woman won $2 million in the Powerball at the Safeway off Corona St. in Denver

The King Soopers off Quebec St. in Aurora also issued a winning $2 million ticket in 2013.

Two other stores on the same street have also issued winning tickets.

The biggest winner in Colorado won $90 in the Powerball in 2014 at the Kum $ Go off E. 26th St.

Saturday, a few people won "small" Powerball payouts.

We'll see what happens next on Wednesday.
