GENESEE, Colo. -- A crash closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Genesee for hours Monday morning. The lanes later reopened around 10 a.m.

Details surrounding the crash are not known, but it appears at least three vehicles were involved, including a dump-truck. All appear to have been heavily damaged. Two of the vehicles ended up in the median.

A Colorado Department of Transportation camera showed crews clearing debris. The crash caused fuel from the dump truck to spill all over the highway. The extent and number of injuries are not known.

Although the crash occurred on the westbound lanes, eastbound traffic in the area was affected. Westbound traffic was diverted onto U.S. 40 at Lookout Mountain. The closure lasted for more than two hours.
