ADAMS COUNTY — The woman who was hit by a train after taking pictures of it on Saturday has been identified.
The Adams and Broomfield Counties Coroner identified the woman as 56-year-old Kelly Michelle Yarish of Brighton. She died of multiple blunt force injuries.
Sgt. Jim Morgen with Adams County Sheriff's Office said Yarish had been taking photos of the train when she somehow managed to get too close and was struck by the southbound train around 7:45 p.m. at the 124th Avenue crossing near Henderson.
The 21-car train was returning from a day-long trip to Cheyenne Frontier Days.
