Colorado Springs ranked among tops places to raise a family

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs is one of the best cities in the country in which to raise a family, according to a new report from WalletHub.

The financial services website put Colorado Springs in 12th place on its list, beating out every other city in the Centennial State.

What makes a city a great place to raise a family? WalletHub’s analysis took into consideration a long list of characteristics, including the number of family-friendly attractions like playgrounds and parks, education ratings, crime rates, cost of living and divorce rates, among others.

With those factors in mind, Overland Park, Kansas took the top spot on WalletHub’s list, followed by Madison, Wisconsin and Plano, Texas.

Denver also made the list at number 21 and Aurora came in at number 66.
