DENVER (AP) — Colorado Springs police are investigating a break-in at USA Hockey's office.

The Denver Post reported Tuesday that a suspect destroyed championship trophies and equipment at the office, causing more than $100,000 in damage.

Lt. Howard Black said nobody is in custody. Black could not provide information on what kind of damage occurred or whether anything was missing because the staff was still checking its inventory on Tuesday.

But Dave Fischer, chief spokesman for USA Hockey, said the burglar destroyed computers, copiers and display cases.

Fischer said autographed photos of the 1980 U.S. "Miracle on Ice" hockey team that won a gold medal at the 1980 Olympics were not destroyed. Fischer said the break-in appears to be solely a case of vandalism.
