Colorado non-profit rescues excess restaurant food to feed the hungry

DENVER — Food that would typically be thrown away is being rescued and used to feed the hungry in Denver.

We Don’t Waste gathers excess food from venues, caterers and restaurants and then distributes the food free of charge through mobile farmers’ markets in food deserts, areas underserved by traditional grocers.

The non-profit serves Denver the Front Range.
