A Colorado man was arrested Tuesday during protests in Washington, D.C., for allegedly illegally carrying a gun, knife, ammunition and a large-capacity magazine.

Harlan Boen, 48, was arrested Tuesday in the 1300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW during protests of U.S. President Donald Trump’s electoral loss, according to Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police documents. Boen was armed with a Glock handgun and 13 cartridges of ammunition, according to the police records.

Police arrested Boen on suspicion of carrying a pistol without a license, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of unregistered ammunition and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.

It is illegal to open carry in the city and gun owners must hold a permit to conceal carry.

Boen does not have prior criminal history in Colorado beyond minor misdemeanor arrests in the early 1990s, online court records show.
