DENVER — Police in Denver started an investigation after a hospital reported that they were treating a toddler with a gunshot wound.
The Denver Police Department said the child, who they say they believe is 2 years old, had been shot in the leg and brought to the hospital around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said this was a walk-in to the hospital, meaning a person or people had brought the injured child to the hospital, and the child was not transported via ambulance.
Police said they believe the child is about 2 years old. There is no information available on his or her condition.
Police said they have not yet determined where the shooting happened or any suspects.
