BRIGHTON, Colo. — The Brighton Police Department is searching for two men accused of robbing a man in a wheelchair at gunpoint.

The Brighton resident was unloading groceries from his car Monday around 9:45 a.m. in his apartment complex's parking lot in the 100 block of S. Miller Ave. when two men approached him.

One of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim's car.

The two men took off in the victim's 2019 Dodge Challenger. The car is modified to accommodate the victim, who is paraplegic. He was not injured in the incident.

With the help of the Adams County Sheriff's Office, Brighton Police said they found the car unoccupied Monday evening.

Investigators haven't found the suspected armed robbers. Anyone with information is asked to call the Brighton Police at (303) 288-1535.
