BOULDER COUNTY — The man found dead near the First Flatiron Thursday morning has been identified as 32-year-old Jared Gutierrez of Boulder.
The Boulder County Coroner's Office confirmed the man's identity on Friday.
Shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday, the Boulder County Communications Center received a call about climbers who had found a man's body northwest of the First Flatiron on a ridge at the Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks property, according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
An autopsy has been completed and the cause and manner of death is pending further investigation.
