Former Bachelor contestant Ben Higgins met with two women fighting cancer at the University of Colorado Hospital.
Ben said the visit was all about taking their minds off the disease.
“If you’re not serving other people life doesn’t really have a meaning,” said Higgins.
The patients watched Higgins on The Bachelor every week to take their minds off their battle to survive.
He took the opportunity to tell them thank you, but to also encourage them.
“Now you get to set the foundation to help people get through it which I think is really great because people really need it,” Higgins told one of his fans.
Higgins hung out with the women and chatted about their cancer fights, but he also prayed with them.
Higgins told them he and his fiancée Lauren Bushnell aren’t watching the current season of The Bachelorette because they’re trying to get used to normal life outside the reality show.
