Authorities searching for missing, endangered man out of Castle Rock

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — Authorities are continuing to search for a man with a traumatic brain injury who was reported missing from a Castle Rock care facility on the evening of Feb. 4.

Robert Gautsche, 58, wandered away from a care facility around Founders Parkway and Allen Street in the Silver Heights area of Castle Rock around 7:15 p.m. Feb. 4 and hasn't been seen since, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

At the time, he was wearing pajama pants and a tan sweatshirt.

Gautsche has a traumatic brain injury and is high functioning, so he may not appear in distress, the sheriff's office said. He requires medication, which he does not have. He also does not have any money or his phone, the sheriff's office said.

He is described as a white man standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
