Aurora police looking for driver of pickup accused in deadly hit-and-run on Parker Road

AURORA, Colo. – Police are asking witnesses to come forward who may have seen the driver of a pickup truck that hit a 56-year-old man who was crossing the street on Parker Road near S. Peoria Street Tuesday night.

Aurora police said that the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on southbound Parker Road near South Peoria. A large white pickup truck hit the man as he crossed the road and then continued on toward I-225, police said.

The 56-year-old man was taken to a hospital, where he died. The Arapahoe County coroner has yet to identify him.

Police said that the investigation is in its early stages. They are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, has dash camera video from the area from Tuesday night, or who might have more information about the hit-and-run crash to call APD or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
