AURORA, Colo. – Police in Aurora say they are investigating a homicide after they found a man dead and bloody on the ground at the Willowick Apartments Thursday morning.

Aurora police said dispatch was called around 6:20 a.m. with reports of a man lying unresponsive on the ground. Officers arrived at the apartment complex, located at 10653 E. Jewell Avenue, and found the man bleeding and unresponsive on the ground.

Aurora Fire Rescue determined the man was already dead, police said. APD’s Major Crimes and Homicide Unit is investigating, but the department says they have no information about suspects or what led to the incident.

Police also did not say what sort of injuries the man had suffered. His identity and cause and manner of death will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s. Office.

The department is asking anyone with information about the man’s death to call Agent Graw at 303-739-6213 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
