ARVADA, Colo. — Police in Arvada are asking for the public’s help locating two people who have not returned from a camping trip in the mountains.

Michael Lee Gomez, 20, and Olivia Megan Schack, 19, went camping with two dogs and expected to spend the night in a car on Tuesday. They were in a silver 2010 Lincoln MKX SUV with license plate number DZO411.

They did not tell their family members where there were camping, police said, but they believe it's somewhere in Clear Creek County.

David Snelling with the police department said there are no suspicious circumstances as of early Friday morning.

Their families are concerned because they have not been able to contact Gomez or Schack since Tuesday, and don’t know if they are safe after the recent snowstorm.

Anybody with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Arvada Det. Duane Eaton at 303-435-4106.
