ARVADA, Colo. -- Authorities have put some Arvada homeowners in the area of Spring Mesa on notice after a brush fire erupted amid strong wind gusts Sunday afternoon.
Arvada Fire crews first reported the fire around 4:30 p.m. Moments later, fire officials reported some homes in the area received pre-evacuation orders.
The fire is burning in the area of Pioneer Sand east of Hwy 93.
Arvada Fire reported "many emergency resources are hard at work in the area of Spring Mesa. Please stay out of the area."
