LOVELAND, Colo. – An Arkansas man died after he was hit by a car Monday evening in Loveland.

Loveland police said they, along with EMS personnel, responded to an auto-pedestrian crash in the drive access off the 300 block of W. 37th Street around 7 p.m. Monday, where they found the man “severely injured,” according to a news release.

The man was taken to a hospital via ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.

Loveland police said the initial investigation into the crash showed that the pickup truck driver was headed west on 37th Street, pulled into the parking access on the side of the street, and hit the man who was in the paved drive area.

Police said they saw no initial signs that the driver was impaired, but that the investigation is ongoing.

The Arkansas man who died had not been identified by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office as of noon Tuesday.

The police department is asking anyone with any more information about the crash to call Officer Warren Sica at 970-962-1203.
