CENTENNIAL, Colo. – An Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office K-9 has died following a battle with spinal cancer.
The sheriff’s office said K-9 Thor was diagnosed with cancer in early December after a veterinarian discovered a progressive, malignant tumor.
The dog died on Thursday, Dec. 21.
Thor was partnered with Deputy Gordon Carroll for about eight years and will be deeply missed, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office said a memorial service will be held for Thor but a date and location have not yet been announced.
