Adams County deputy's vehicle struck during chase; deputy OK

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. – An Adams County sheriff deputy's vehicle was struck by a suspect in a stolen car Saturday morning, officials said. The crash was only minor, and the deputy is OK.

The deputy had tried to stop the suspect vehicle about 10:40 a.m. in the 7400 block of Brighton Road when a short chase ensued. The suspect hit the deputy's vehicle, and then drove away, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies found the vehicle a short time later at 98th and Josephine streets.

Two women were taken into custody. Their names have not been released.
