BOULDER, Colo. – An 85-year-old man was hit and killed by an RTD bus in Boulder on Thursday morning, police said.
The crash happened about 10:15 a.m. near Mohawk Drive and Baseline Road. The man was walking in a crosswalk on the east side of Mohawk Drive when the bus, which was turning left from southbound Mohawk onto eastbound Baseline Road, struck him, according to a police news release.
The man was taken to Boulder Community Health hospital, where he died.
Police are still investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call police officer Dan Bergh at 720-648-0546.
