Bodhi Fest

What: Come celebrate some of the wonderful Buddhist traditions from around the world at the first annual Bodhi Festival, hosted by Orgyen Khamdroling Dharma Center. The festival will feature live performances of traditional Buddhist dance, song and ceremony. It will bring together several Buddhist communities from Denver and the Front Range providing you with an opportunity to learn more about the rich history of Buddhism.

When: Saturday: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Battle of the Breeds Scavenger Hunt

What: An awesome scavenger hunt around the city of Denver. You and your team (plus your team pets) work against the clock in order to solve clues to reach the next destination. Just want to come for the after party? Pay $10 to enjoy the festivities.

Where: The Bridge at 14th St. and Wewatta St., Near Coohills Restaurant, Downtown Denver

Smokey Robinson in concert

What: Listen to the sounds of Motown legend Smokey Robinson as he brings his talents to the Mile High City.

Sports Authority Football Field Day (Ages 6-14)

What: Kickoff the football season being a part of the fun at this high-energy event. The training will include a strong emphasis on safety where players navigate through specific skills, such as passing, catching, running and more. Meet Denver Broncos players, cheerleaders and Miles the mascot during the event.

South Platte RiverFest

What: This two day festival is Denver's premier urban RiverFest. Activities will include free stand up paddle board lessons and demos, a variety of riverside recreational activities, live music, beer, food, and more.

Sunday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Sand in the City Festival

What: The Annual Sand in the City Festival will feature giant sand sculptures built by various business teams. The festival includes about 50 local food and beverage vendors, live music from Duke Street Kings, a VIP Beach area, craft beer, and more.

Where: 64th Avenue and Simms Street, Ralston Park Arvada, Colo.

When: Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Cherry Blossom Festival
