Looking for something to do while stuck at home? Here are seven virtual — but still local — activities to check out:

• Help out from home! History Colorado, the state’s historical agency, is seeking volunteers to help decipher the words and handwriting of leading voices in the campaign for women’s suffrage in Colorado.

• Have you ever wanted to learn how to breakdance? Well, now’s your chance! Colorado’s premier dance studio, Bboy Factory, is now offering online classes throughout the week on Zoom. You can find all of the information on how to sign up here.

• Cheese making 101. Kate Johnson, the founder of the Art of Cheese cheesemaking school based in Longmont, Colorado, brings you the basics behind cheese making in this free online course. She will even walk you through the steps to make your own homemade artisan ricotta!

• Denver-based bars Curio, Brass Tacks and Rogers are bringing the bar to you! Cocktail Sessions features bartenders demonstrating how to make cocktails from their home bars. The videos and online instructions are free, but you have the option of purchasing a cocktail “kit,” which serves about 8-10 cocktails.

• Fetch Markets has launched an Instagram live series called “Community Happy Hour.” Grab a beverage and watch live conversations with Colorado small business owners every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 4pm.

• Denver Botanical Gardens may be temporarily closed, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dig into nature at home! Denver Botanical Gardens has put together some fun activities that you can do with your family in your backyard, or in your home.

• The Curtis Art Center is going virtual with new online art classes! The classes are offered through zoom and require a registration to be able to attend the class.
