DENVER -- Good morning! Here's what you need to know today, Monday, July 3. 

1. Fourth of July street closures in downtown Denver

2. Tera Lewandowski murder trial 
It's been more than a year since the remains of a Colorado woman were found in Wyoming. Today, one of the suspect accused in her murder, Michael Vassil, will face a a judge during a sentencing hearing. 

3. Miss Colorado reunion
Miss Colorado, Miss Teen Colorado all the way down to Miss Colorado Princess will be holding a good luck/going away party today at 5:30 p.m. to compete for the national title of Miss USA. 

4. Denver's Independence Eve celebration 
Independence Eve celebrations will kick off at 8 p.m. in Civic Center Park at Broadway and Colfax. Celebrations will include a concert and stunning fireworks show thereafter. For a full list of events happening across Colorado, click here

5. Trump's mock video draws rebukes
The president tweeted a sham video depicting him pummeling a man whose face is obscured by the CNN logo. The The White House has yet to comment on the video and what it means for relationships between the media and the president.
