WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Police in Wheat Ridge are investigating the theft of five goats from 5 Fridges Farm.

Police say the goats were taken sometime between 3 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday from a grazing location at the Kipling trailhead. Police say the gate was opened from their enclosure.

5 Fridges Farm says the missing goats are full size. Yoda and Wendell are black; Daryl and his other brother Darryl are brown, and CreamPuff is white.

The goats are used as a way to mitigate fire danger by letting them loose in an area where they consume large amounts of dry vegetation.

If you have any information about the missing goats, please call the Wheat Ridge Police Department non-emergency number at 303-237-2220.
