DENVER – Four people were transported to area hospitals after the car they were traveling in crashed through the wall of a Taco Bell restaurant on Denver’s west side.
The crash occurred at about 3 a.m. at Alameda Avenue and Federal Boulevard.
Investigators say the car’s driver was going the wrong way on Federal before the vehicle veered off the road, went up an embankment and launched into the side of the building, punching a hole in the wall.
No workers were inside the building at the time of the crash.
Police are looking into whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
