AURORA, Colo. – The 7/20 Memorial Foundation has selected four artists out of 151 submissions as finalists to design a permanent theater shooting memorial.

The memorial will honor those whose lives were lost or changed forever after the July 20, 2012, mass shooting at the Century 16 Theater in Aurora.

The four finalists, Douwe Blumber, Ted Clausen, Jim Gallucci, and Nobuho Nagasawa, will visit the site this month and submit their final proposals by May, according to a Colorado Public Radio report.

The planned memorial garden will be located at the Aurora Municipal Center. It will be included as part of the Xeriscape Garden at Alameda and Chambers.

You can donate to the foundation through an online fundraising campaign. More information about the memorial can also be found on the 7/20 Memorial Foundation Facebook page.
