DENVER – Adams County sheriff’s deputies said they were looking for a man and a woman suspected of shooting two people at a Dollar General store Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at the store near W 53rd Place and Sheridan Boulevard around 9:30 a.m. A spokesperson for the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said the two victims, a man and a woman, were checking out at the counter when they were shot.

The two suspects entered the store together. The woman made a purchase at the register and as the two exited the store, the male suspect turned around and shot two of the customers multiple times before both left the area in a black BMW with tinted windows, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

The victims were both treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff's office said.

The suspects in the shooting were still outstanding as of 4:30 p.m.

The man is described by police as a tall and skinny Hispanic male. He was wearing blue jeans, black and white shoes, a purple hat on backwards, black jacket, dark sunglasses and a black face mask.

The woman is described as an Hispanic female of average height and weight. She has long brown hair and was wearing white and black shirt, jeans and a black coat.
