WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — One person was transported to a hospital after an attempted break-in and a shooting, Wheat Ridge police say. Police say the suspects remain at-large.
The Wheat Ridge Police Department said officers responded to an attempted break-in along the 9200 block of W. 49th Avenue in Denver.
One person was injured in a shooting in a parking lot outside of the home and was transported to the hospital, police said, where he or she has been in surgery.
Police are working on gathering a description of the two suspects, the department said Monday afternoon. Police said witnesses are being uncooperative or are giving conflicting statements.
No other injuries were reported.
This crime remains under investigation. No other information was available as of 10 a.m.
