BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. – A young woman is dead and another person is injured after a two-vehicle crash that happened just before 9 a.m. on Isabelle Road at U.S. Highway 287 north of Lafayette.

Colorado State Patrol told Denver7 a 22-year-old woman died in the crash, and that another person was taken to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition.

The crash happened just before 9 a.m. and involved a 2015 Nissan and a 2010 GM vehicle, CSP said. A spokesman said it was unclear which vehicle each person was in at the time of the crash.

A Boulder County sheriff’s spokeswoman said traffic was being diverted on southbound Highway 287, and that drivers were advised to use 119th Street or East County Line Road instead.

Information on what led to the crash has so far not been released.
