DENVER — If nothing else, the pandemic has heightened our awareness of overall health, and how important it is to take care of our bodies and minds. And that's where Denver's Nurture, a wellness marketplace in Denver allowing you to work and recharge daily, comes in.
"People who want to come in are people that value the big picture of their health," says Nurture's co-founder Dr. Nikki Dority.
On the surface, Nurture is a very serene co-working space located in Denver's Highlands neighborhood. But, spend a day there and you'll see it's so much more.
"We describe Nurture as a well-care marketplace," says co-founder Peter Strauss. "It's a bit of a mashup of a co-working space, a marketplace, a food hall, a gym."
Strauss and Dority partnered with co-founder Kelly Campbell to open Nurture in May 2020. Campbell runs the included café called Nest.
"Sort of the design and layout of this space is that is really feels like a living room," Campbell says. "It's just warm and casual. Invite a friend. Enjoy some time by yourself."
The main level has the cafe, an open space for seating, workout rooms and retail. But upstairs, are dozens of services ready to assist with your well being. You'll find everything from hydration rooms, to an apothecary.
"Acupuncture, chiropractor, massage therapy, salons," Strauss adds.
"[A customer] could come in, take a class, possibly get a service, finish with an infrared sauna," says Dority, a clinician.
And, you could weave food and work in between.
"We want to design food that they can take with them on the go, that's really serving their body, so they can get through the day with their clients," says Campbell. "Cold pressed juices, we have salads, we have smoothies."
Not to mention a full bar for happy hour. Because the goal is give you a complete day and reshape what it means to be productive.
"I think that is creating this well-rounded self care. Fitness yes. Massage yes. All of those things? Absolutely," says Dority. But, I think we're going to take that one step further."
Nurture expects to add weekend brunch and private events to its offerings when Denver's pandemic restrictions allow.
