LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- A mother-to-be who had her car stolen while she was in labor says the new baby has arrived, but the car has not.

Codie Rayl and her boyfriend were loading their car on Nov. 27 to go to the hospital. While Rayl was in labor, they put the new car seat, overnight bag and other items in their car.

However, as they went inside to get their 2-year-old son, someone drove off in their car.

Rayl called 911 and paramedics took her to the hospital. Because she was only dilated 3 cm, she was sent back home.

Rayl told Denver7 Baby Grace arrived yesterday morning, but their car hasn't been found yet.

"We ended up taking a cab to have her," Rayl said.

While Rayl says she still hopes her silver Chrysler 300 will be found, she said she is grateful so many people have helped her family with clothes, a car seat, kid's cups, diaper bags and other items.
