Do you recognize this man? The suspect captured on surveillance images is accused of breaking into a Highlands Ranch home while a family was on vacation.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the man is wanted for breaking into a home on Briarhurst Drive in Highlands Ranch and stealing jewelry.

"A lot of it was sentimental things that I have given to my wife for anniversaries, things I had given my wife when our children were born," said Bruce Gruenberg, the homeowner.

The Gruenberg family was vacationing in Mexico when the burglary happened. Bruce received alerts on his phone from the alarm company and his worst fears were later confirmed. The family even thought about returning from their trip early because they didn't know what was stolen from the home.

"Fortunately the victim has surveillance cameras inside the residence and was able to provide us with this picture of the suspect inside the house," the Douglas County Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook.

Deputies said the suspect is described as an Asian or Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11 inches tall, approximately 170 to 200 pounds, with dark short-cropped hair.

The suspect was driving a light beige 4-door sedan, possibly a Buick. The license plate had a bright yellow background with bright green letters and numbers.

According to Gruenberg, a neighbor saw a man running out of the house with his arms full of stolen items. They believe a getaway car was parked several houses away.

If you recognize the man, or the vehicle, call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 303-660-7500.
