Snow, freezing temps didn't stop some from running annual Turkey Trot

Funds benebit childhood literacy programs

The snow and freezing temperatures didn't stop a few dedicated runners from taking part in the 42nd annual Turkey Trot this Thanksgiving morning.

The four-mile, family-friendly Turkey Trot took place in Wash Park.

Some of the fun activities for the kids and adults alike included a booths, freebies and a bear garden.

Funds raised during the Turkey Trot help improve childhood literacy programs, as well as ensuring economic self-sufficiency for adults and families.
