DENVER – A pedestrian was struck and killed by the A Line train at the Central Park Station in Denver Saturday – the second death in two days, according to the Denver Police Department.

Police reported the fatal crash at 2:10 p.m., saying it happened near the intersection of Smith Road and Central Park Blvd. in Denver – the same area where a pedestrian was struck and killed by the A Line train on Friday afternoon.

No other information about the deadly crash was immediately available.

Train service was disrupted to a single track on the A Line, RTD officials told Denver7. The A Line was also experiencing 30-minute delays because of the incident.

RTD officials asked passengers not to board the commuter rail at the Central Park Station. RTD was running bus shuttles between 40th and Airport Road, and between 40th and Colorado.

Denver Police said Saturday afternoon that the fatal crash was being investigated as a "non-criminal event."
