DENVER – A driver’s vehicle ended up in a sinkhole that followed a water main break on National Western Drive in Denver Tuesday night.
The main break happened sometime around 9:30 p.m., according to Denver Water.
The main that broke was a 12-inch main. It happened in front of the building at 5000 National Western Drive.
Water was shut off around 10 p.m. Crews said they expected it would take around 5 hours to fix the main break. The road is closed in the meantime; the closure could last into the morning rush hour.
