DENVER - Denver Police say about 900 photo radar tickets issued to drivers speeding in a construction zone in Denver were dismissed in December.
The tickets were issued to drivers speeding on 6th Avenue, near Federal Blvd., on three days around November 22.
Denver Police told 7NEWS they could verify the operator of the photo radar van placed the appropriate warning signs on some days, but they could not verify the signs were properly placed on November 22. For that reason, all tickets were dismissed.
A letter sent to the drivers with violations on the three days in question said, "Due to a processing error, the above listed violation has been voided and no further action is required on your part."
Drivers who paid the fine before the tickets were dismissed will get a refund, Denver Police told 7NEWS.
