DENVER -- How creative can you get, Colorado? 7-Eleven's "Bring Your Own Cup Day" is making a comeback this year and based on what we saw last year, we can only hope things get weirder in 2016.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Slurpee, this year's #BYOCupDay will be taking place Aug. 19 and 20 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
If you're hoping to get immortalized on social media, there are a few rules to follow:
- Your cup must fit upright through a 10-inch hole
- Your cup must be food safe (so no putting Slurpees on your tennis shoes)
- Your cup must be water-tight
- Only one cup per person is allowed
It's not free, though. You'll need $1.50 to fill the cup.
You're encouraged to share your creative cup Slurpees by using the hashtag "#BYOCupDay" and tagging @7Eleven on social media.
