CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- A Centennial pet store desperately needs your help as they fear for the safety of a stolen puppy.

An adorable Papillon is in the hands of thieves, and the pet store says she is in possible danger.

“That dog barely weighed over two pounds. Had we sent that dog home we go over thorough instructions on how to care for a toy breed puppy,” said Perfect Pets store manager Bianca Rose Larson.

Surveillance video from Tuesday afternoon shows a couple walking around the store several times before reaching in and pulling the $1,300 puppy out by the neck.

“Then she proceeded to lift it out holding it by its neck then put it under her shoulder, set the window back down which is why we didn’t notice it at first. And then she walked to the back of the store,” said Larson.

She then stuck the dog in her hoodie and left.

There’s a $300 reward for anyone who can help locate her because without specific food or water the dog can become hypoglycemic while under stress and could die.

If you have any information call the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office at (303) 795-4711 or Perfect Pets at (303) 972-0191.
