Paraglider crashes in Castle Rock, suffers several broken bones

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. – A man was hospitalized with multiple broken bones after a paragliding crash Wednesday afternoon.

The Castle Rock Police Department says the man was found unconscious near the football field at Castle Rock Middle School just before 1:30 p.m. He has not been identified.

Investigators believe the man was caught in a downdraft, which forced him to the ground. He was airlifted to a local trauma center after the crash.

Further details have yet to be released.
