CASTLE PINES, Colo. -- Not all is quiet and serene in the world of wildlife in Castle Pines.

A family in Castle Pines Village shot video this weekend of a deer chasing a bobcat through their yard.

In the video, the bobcat jumped over some shrubs and the deer let it go.

When Laurie and Jim Brennan moved their camera to see the bobcat under their window, they found the bobcat that got chased, and two other bobcats.

"[Bobcats are] out there, all over the place," Jennifer Churchill with Colorado Parks and Wildlife told Denver7. "They're just really good at hiding."

Churchill said bobcats move into the metro area looking for rodents, and other little animals, to eat.

If you see a bobcat, Churchill recommends you take your pictures from a distance, like the Brennans did.

Churchill also said this is a good reminder of why you need to keep pets indoors, because roaming cats and pets can turn into food for wildlife.
