Boulder Police: 12-year-old boy who disappeared after football practice found safe

BOULDER, Colo. – Police in Boulder are asking for your help to find a 12-year-old boy who did not come home after school.

David Delacruz, 12, was supposed to come home after football practice on Tuesday, but hasn’t been seen, according to his mother who reported him missing at around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday.

He was last seen in the area of Casey Middle School, located at 1301 High St.

The boy is described as Hispanic, approximately 4 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, jean shorts and blue tennis shoes.

Search and rescue dogs were requested and are responding to the scene to help in search efforts for the boy, a spokesperson for the police department said in a news release.
