Police ask for public's help solving murder; Woman found dead in Pacesetter Motel

AURORA, Colo. - Police are asking for the public's help in solving the slaying of a woman who was found dead in a motel in Aurora.

The Aurora Sentinel reports 35-year-old Avis Pitts was found dead in a room at the Pacesetter Motel on Dec. 19. Investigators have not said how she died, but her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
